Welcome to Lambdoughty Wind Farm

Scotland is the windiest country in Europe, and Scottish Ministers are firmly committed to developing a renewable energy policy that takes full advantage of this massive potential.

In the battle against climate change Scotland now generates around 11% of its electricity from renewable sources, and the Scottish Government has set a target of 50% by 2020.

As part of this plan Infinergy has started to investigate Lambdoughty in South Ayrshire, to the south east of Girvan as a possible renewable energy site. The site is located approximately 2 km to the south west of Barr and 3 km to the north east of Pinwherry. It is within the administrative area of South Ayrshire Council.

Community consultation

As part of this consultation process we are keen to work with local communities in the surrounding areas. We are actively involving the community councils of Pinwherry/Pinmore, Barr, Barrhill, Colmonell & Lindalfoot in the development process and we are visiting the closest properties to the windfarm to discuss any concerns that their occupiers might have.

This website aims to share as much information as possible with you, and to provide you with an opportunity to feedback to us. Please register here.
